Arts & Collectibles
Tokenization
Tokenization of works of art and collectibles is the process of dividing the ownership of a work of art or collectible into multiple shares or “tokens”.

In few steps
Evaluation of the work or object
The first step in tokenization is the valuation of the artwork or collectible. An art or collectible expert evaluates the value of the object, which will be used as the basis for creating the tokens.
The division into tokens
Once the artwork or object is appraised, a set number of tokens are created on a blockchain. Each token represents a fraction of the total value of the work or object.
Marketing the tokens
The tokens are then sold to investors. Each investor who buys a token then becomes a co-owner of the artwork or collectible.
Legal management
Finally, token holders have rights commensurate with their ownership. For example, they may be entitled to a share of the profits if the artwork or object is sold at a higher price in the future.
Examples
A painting by a renowned artist could be tokenized, allowing multiple investors to share ownership of the work.
A valuable sculpture could also be tokenized, giving more people the opportunity to own a piece of important art.
A rare and valuable comic book could be tokenized, allowing fans and collectors to share ownership of the item.
A rare collectible card, such as a baseball card or Pokémon card, could be tokenized, allowing multiple people to share ownership of the item.
A rare collectible car could be tokenized, allowing multiple investors to share ownership of the item and potentially share in the profits if the car increases in value in the future.
Main advantages
Increased Liquidity
Tokenization facilitates quick transactions and opens the market to more investors, thereby increasing liquidity.
Fractionalization
Tokenization makes arts & collectibles investing more accessible by allowing the purchase of small fractions of an asset.
Transparency and Security
Thanks to the blockchain, tokenization offers greater transparency of transactions and enhanced security.
